Our new time-lapse procedure won't let your embryo out of sight!

With our time-lapse incubator, we are pleased to offer you a new laboratory method at the highest technological level in reproductive medicine to increase the chances of a successful pregnancy.

The success of the treatment depends on the selection of the most promising embryo for transfer. You can recognize it by the way it develops in the incubator in our IVF laboratory during the days. The time-lapse incubator is a new, special incubator that uses an integrated video camera to monitor the development of the embryo around the clock. This gives us valuable information about the embryo. Another advantage is that we do not have to "disturb" the embryo, since it is not removed from the incubator at all.

More information - higher chances of successful implantation

With the conventional form of embryonic culture, the culture dishes with the embryos are only rarely removed from the incubator (days 1, 3 and 5) in order to be able to view and assess the embryos under the microscope. This is not necessary with the time-lapse incubator, because a built-in microscope camera takes a picture of the embryo every 5 minutes and combines it into a time-lapse picture. This form of culture can increase the chances of IVF success, as our team in the IVF laboratory can observe and analyze the cell division of the embryos not only at certain times, but continuously. As with the conventional method, the goal is and will of course be to select the embryo for the transfer that has the best potential for successful implantation and pregnancy.

When do we recommend embryonic culture using time-lapse?

The time-lapse procedure is particularly useful for those couples who did not find any abnormalities on the embryo in the standard culture in more than 3 unsuccessful attempts. In these cases, the time-lapse device may provide us with valuable new information.

We also recommend time-lapse for those couples whose embryos had severe delays, abnormalities or a standstill in development and we were therefore unable to carry out an embryo transfer or implantation did not take place.

The additional use of the time-lapse device is also useful for couples with additional genetic testing (polar body analysis).
