Sperm cell, Egg cell and Embryo Freezing
If need be, sperm cells, egg cells and embryos can be cryopreserved and used at a later time for a fertility treatment.
In this connection, so-called cryopreservation- derived from the ancient greek word “cryos” meaning cold - is used.
By using this method embryos, sperm cells and oocytes can be kept without impairing their viability and function.

In acute cases, such as a chemo or radiation therapy, which is scheduled to begin very soon, we ask you to contact us by telephone without delay.

INFORMATION ON CRYOPRESERVATION OF SPERM CELLS
Legal requirements
There must be a medical reason (see above) for cryopreservation, so "social freezing" is unfortunately not possible. Another prerequisite for storing sperm cells is a negative test result for some infection parameters (e.g. HIV, hepatitis, syphilis, ...).

Costs
An initial cryopreservation and storage for 1 year costs € 841.-, the annual storage fee for the following years is € 401.- (as of 01/2024). If a sample is not suitable for cryopreservation, only costs of € 136.- will arise for the evaluation of the sample.

Costs
The costs of cryopreservation are very dependent on the medication and the number of egg cells obtained. Therefore, you will receive an individually prepared cost plan as part of the initial consultation. The annual storage fee (from the 1st following year) is € 401.- (as of 01/2024).
