In order to start planning your individual Fertility Journey as soon as possible, it makes sense to conduct all the necessary preliminary examinations right after you arranged the appointment. This helps us to discuss your personal history and medical findings during the first consultation, based on which we will create a therapy plan individually tailored to your needs.

The aim of the first consultation is to clarify all open questions and to design a therapy plan that is individually tailored to you.

It is important that you think about certain questions, such as who is going to deliver the child and who should act as a sperm donor.
Of course it is very important to us that you are perfectly informed about the treatment steps and feel comfortable with the choice of your treatment.

You have the opportunity to bring your own donor from your family or friends or you can access our sperm bank. We know all our donors personally and have thoroughly checked them ourselves. You can make a selection based on certain criteria and the allocation then will be performed by an employee from our sperm bank.

Your individual treatment plan

Provided that all the medical results of the preliminary examinations are available and all questions are answered, we can start your treatment immediately after the first consultation. As each Fertility Journey is individual our treatment methods are tailored to your personal needs.
The therapy plan not only includes medical treatments, but also various additional services that can be decisive for success, such as nutritional counselling, acupuncture and psychological support.

But you too can contribute to a positive result by paying attention to a few small things and adapting your lifestyle to your wish for a child. Your Personal Fertility companion will provide you with advice and active support.

Finally pregnant!

With a positive pregnancy test a new phase of your life begins.

About two weeks after the positive result we invite you for another ultrasound check up, where we can already detect the child's heartbeat.
With this wonderful moment our time together on your Fertility Journey comes to an end and you will now be accompanied by your gynaecologist in this wonderful but also exciting time.

Insemination

During an insemination treatment, donor sperm cells are inserted into the uterus of the patient.

In-vitro fertilisation (IVF)

In-vitro fertilisation (IVF) is defined as fertilisation outside of the body. The patient receives hormone treatment in order to stimulate the growth of a higher number of oocytes in the ovaries. The matured oocytes in the ovaries are then removed, merged with the sperm cells of the donor in the laboratory and then finally inserted into the uterus.

Partner donation (ROPA method)

Partner donation is a routine treatment at the Kinderwunschzentrum an der Wien. It allows lesbian couples to experience the Fertility Journey together from the beginning. In this method, the genetic mother is the partner from whom the egg cell originates and the biological mother is the partner who carries the pregnancy and gives birth to the child.
