Our matching system for your safe fertility journey
Our patients entrust us with their precious egg cells, sperm cells and embryos. It is the task of our experienced IVF laboratory team to handle them with the utmost care and respect. That is why we were the first centre in Austria to develop our own matching system.
Correct "matching" is the highest principle in fertility treatment, which is why we developed "QuinniMatch" in 2015. This system is unique in Europe and makes it impossible to mix up embryos and cells. The so-called matching system works with the use of a QR code for each patient: All steps in the course of the fertility treatment are documented and all containers, beakers and dishes are marked with the individual QR code. "With this matching, we guarantee that the material provided to us is 100% identical," explains Univ. Prof. Dr. Heinz Strohmer, founder and director of the Kinderwunschzentrum an der Wien. "At the same time, we thus ensure that the entire course of treatment from A to Z is absolutely error-free - because the system strikes if the codes do not match."
Each couple gets a "KadW card"
For the patients, this security is visible through their "KadW Card", which is handed over at the beginning of the treatment. The QR code printed on our "KadW Card" is the personal key for our couples to the safest fertility treatment in Europe. After each embryo transfer, our couples are given a matching protocol on request and can thus track the individual treatment processes and matches.
