The A-Z of fertility treatment

Everything you need to know

The topic of fertility treatment is very complex and extensive. Especially when you are dealing with it for the first time, you quickly feel overwhelmed by all the technical terms.

Our fertility lexicon from A-Z covers all the important topics and terms that you will come across again and again on your fertility journey. We have also created a section with the most frequently asked questions of our patients. However, we are always happy to provide you with help and advice and answer any questions you may have in a personal first consultation.

Notary deed

All couples planning a treatment who are not married or partnered, or who require treatment with sperm or egg donation, must have a notarial deed drawn up by a notary.

NUKI diagnostic

The uterine cavity is lined with a mucous membrane, the endometrium, into which the embryo can implant after successful fertilization. In some cases, the embryo cannot implant properly in the endometrium and therefore cannot develop. One possible cause of this is chronic endometritis (inflammation of the uterine lining), which occurs in up to 40% of all cases with repeated implantation failure. If this inflammation is successfully treated, the pregnancy rate increases significantly.

We offer NUKI diagnostics for immunological clarification at the Kinderwunschzentrum an der Wien, in which the concentration of NK cells and the concentration of plasma cells in the uterus are measured as a possible indication of endometritis (inflammation of the uterus).
