• I was born on 13 October 1966 in Winterthur, Switzerland, the youngest of three siblings. My father's job took us to Nigeria and Iran. I completed secondary school in Vienna again. 
• My path to medicine was determined by chance - through a good conversation with my class president, half a year before the Matura. "Why don't you study medicine, it suits you." And I haven't regretted it for a second.
• After the Matura in 1985, I graduated from the University of Vienna in February 1992.
• In order to use the waiting time for the internship, I flew to Sri Lanka and started my acupuncture training there, which I completed at the end of 1993 with the ÖÄK diploma in Vienna.
• I started my internship in October 1992 at the Hospital of the Merciful Sisters in 1060 Vienna and continued in September 1994 at the Hospital SMZ-Ost, 1220 Vienna.
• At the end of 1996 I already held my diploma as a general practitioner in my hand.
• At SMZ-Ost I discovered my love for gynaecology and completed my specialist training there at the end of 2000.
