- Primosistone
Primosistone is a hormone preparation composed of the two most important hormones that are significant in a woman's menstrual cycle: oestrogen and progesterone. In the case of primosistone, it is a combination of ethinyl estradiol and norethisterone. There are several uses for this preparation in the context of fertility therapy:
1) It is used to control irregular bleeding.
2) It can support the regression of ovarian cysts.
3) It allows to influence the timing of menstruation, if there is a need to influence the timing of treatment.
4) It helps to 'synchronise' the follicles with the injections before the actual stimulation treatment begins, so that more follicles may grow and they may grow to the same size.Primosistone is a tablet that is typically swallowed 3 times a day for 10 days.
