Human Growth Hormon

Human growth hormone is a hormone produced naturally in the body in the anterior part of the pituitary gland. It is secreted especially during puberty and, as its name suggests, plays a decisive role in normal body growth.  If there is a deficiency, the amount of muscle decreases, the amount of fat in the body increases and bone loss sets in.

Growth hormone has been used in the treatment of the desire to have children for more than 25 years. Nevertheless, the significance of this treatment is still not entirely clear. Large studies have shown that growth hormone leads to

1) shortens the duration of stimulation,
2) it is possible to retrieve more egg cells, and
3) there is also a higher pregnancy rate.

However, it is not clear whether all these improvements lead to a higher rate of births, a certain trend towards this can be seen.

Growth hormone has to be administered as an injection and there is a cost associated with the treatment, but growth hormone should still be considered, especially if only a limited response to stimulation is observed, given the positive effects mentioned above.
