Causes for infertility

The reasons for infertility can be diverse and are distributed equally between men and women. In 54,2% of all cases the reason is caused by the male partner, in 15,8% it is caused by the female partner. In 30% of all cases the reasons can be caused by both partners as well. Sometimes there is no recognizable reason. This is called inexplicable inability to conceive or “idiopathic sterility”.

At the beginning of the treatment a few necessary examinations have to be conducted. They help to find and determine the possible reasons for unsuccessful attempts in achieving pregnancy. This is why you need to do all examinations on our checklist for both partners so that a correct and individual diagnosis as well as treatment planning can be developed.
